Mr. Stephan Molitor came to Japan and visited the customer of CIL-Z System
By favor of Mr. Michael Kaltenstadler, CEO of Firm Q.P.T. Mr. Stepahn Molitor (Japanese-German) was coming to Japan to make a groundwork for expanding the business. We visited the customer who had already used the CIL-Z System from this January and he answered fluently in Japanese. The customer had few questions and pointed out that PM-Metric Software in Japanese Version was for Japanese very convenient. The right picture shows the portable aluminum case which is able to store a set of CIL-Z system. The customer sells printing machines to foreign companies in semiconductor industries, his service engineer will carry it for checking the printing rolls. At present the printing technology is now commonly used not only for printing on a paper but also widely as coating technologies for Liquid Crystal display-, semiconductor-and other-industries. Mr. Molitor used 2 days for us to teach us about his Modular Video Inspection System CV and its Analysis Software PM-Metric, Japanese version in special. He showed us also products pictures for new general catalogue. We were surprised Q.P.T.'s fine Sales strategy for adjusting the customers needs. And we found that the Video Microscope CIL-Z System is used to measure dimensions mainly, but the Video Inspection System V7000 with the great focalisation range are well accepted in Germany to inspect scratches on the surfaces not to measure dimension. This V7000 interests visitors from Japan at the exhibitions held in Germany and this system is the most suitable for first inspection of plastics, tools and other workpieces with different magnifications via a macro Zoom objective. The 6 pictures in low side are the sample images inspected by V7000. If you want to see in detail about V7000, please click here.
Mr. Molitor is at the front of the main Office of BMW Group Japan near Tokyo Station on the return way of the customer visit. BMW is one of Q.P.T.'s best customers and Mr. Hans Peter Huber, former retired CEO of Q.P.T. found new market in BMW and now Mr. Michael Kaltenstadler, CEO of Q.P.T. is person in charge for BMW.
After training and exchanging information at our office we visited temple in the neighborhood to see more than 500 Stone Buddha's disciples with many figures as drinking Sake (Japanese rice wine), taking massage and so on. We enjoyed them and relaxed for a while.

We have often gotten inquiries from major printing companies after announcement, and we succeeded in getting an order of the Portable Video Microscope. In Japan there are many video microscopes but this customer selected as the following reasons; (1) made in Germany and Japanese software (2) experiences in Germany.

The Micro Products Divison of Firm Wetzel was bought, and so we exchange Firm Wetzel to Firm Q.P.T. to import the similar goods. We will sell the Styli of contour measuring machines for Hommel, Mahr, Taylor Hobson, Zeiss-TSK and so on (in alphabetical order) in Europe and for Mitutoyo in Japan too. In principle we may sell one piece, but there are many kinds of styli and it is impossible to have stocks. We will receive an order from the predetermined amount and we will give the quantity discount from 20 pieces of one kind. We will show sample styli as follows. We will examine whether we can supply styli for Japanese manufacturers.
| | (Mahr type) Stylus 33mm, Carbide / Clamping length 30.5mm / Diameter 3.5mm Radius 25µm / Angle 12° (Zeiss-TSK Type) Stylus 34mm, Carbide / Clamping length 30mm / Diameter 3mm Radius 25µm / Angle 11° Yen30,000-35,000 |
| | (Hommel Type) Stylus 32mm, Carbide / Clamping length 29.1mm / Diameter 3mm Radius 20µm / Angle 30° Yen35,000 |
| | (Mahr Type) Stylus 2.5mm, Carbide / Clamping length 2.5mm / Diameter 0.5mm Radius 25µm / Angle 19°

| | (Hommel Type) Stylus 20mm, Carbide / Clamping length 20mm / Diameter 1mm Radius 10µm / Angle 30° (Tylor-Hobson Type) Stylus 26.7mm, Carbide / Clamping length 26.7mm Diameter 1.6mm / Radius 10µm / Angle 30° Yen30,000-35,000 |
We have Price lists for the following manufacturers, but they are only Japanese ones. - Hommel - Mahr - Mitutoyo - Taylor Hobson - Zeiss-TSK

In May 2003 at the "Control Show" held in Sinsheim, Germany Q.P.T.'s Universal Testing machine "TKU 40" interested visitirs from Japan.A traditional Testing Machine can electronic length gauging head always with the indicating unit, but the "TKU 40" has the combination an inductive and incremental Reference systems and so a length gauging head itself can be checked. It checks fully automatically inductive and incremental length gauging heads of the Firms Tesa, Mahr, Heidenhain etc. The testing time for an inductive length gauging head with a measuring range of ± 1mm requires under 30 seconds ! The test is done by the analog system. It checks also digitals dial gauges with Mitutoyo-electronics, Sylvac, Mahr etc. and then checks semi-automatically Microcators, dial comparator, test indicator, measuring unit without data output etc.
Advantages 1. The combination an inductive and incremental reference systems 2. The both reference systems start at each measuring cycle always from the absolute mechanical and electronic system Zero. That means, existing system error can be compensated mathematically. 3. An inductive length gauging head will be checked completely about linearity error. 4. The testing time for an inductive length gauging head with analog output is very quick.
Technical data Measuring range : 0 - 50mm Measuring speed : 2mm/s Reference system : LIP401/inductive measuring system Resolution : 0.01µm Absolute system accuracy : maximum 0.2µm/50mm range at a temperature of 20ºC± 0.5K
Please prepare a PC with Windows !
Other interest is the compact contour measuring system "Conturomatic T2". It is a compact system however a large measuring volume of 250 x 320mm, and with highest precision and simple operation.
Advantages For this reason, not moving gauging head but moving workpiece, the measuring volume is very large. The mechanical construction, is based on the precision guide, whose traverse is counted non-contact incremental measuring system.
Mechanics Measuring range : 250 (W) x 320 (H) mm Measuring system : non-contact, optical incremental systems in all axes Internal resolution : 0.03µm Operating speed : till 40mm/s Measuring speed : automatically optimization 0.5 - 3mm/s
